据悉，2020美国好莱坞国际电影节金影奖GFA将于12月18日在美国好莱坞举办，本届电影节以“Cherish＆Discovery”为主题。为突出“云上电影节”的特点，今年的美国好莱坞国际电影节将采取线上线下联动的形式，组织包括启动仪式、电影展映、主题论坛等一系列活动。
据美国好莱坞国际电影节主席Michael Tse介绍，2020 GFA的线上展映将与网络展映平台合作，搭建金影奖展映专区，组委会将按照参展影片的不同分类，设置不同的展映单元。上线的影片有多部备受影迷关注的新片，不少影片都是首次与观众在线上见面。来自全世界不同国家和不同地区的观众可以根据自己的兴趣与时间，足不出户观看来自世界各地的全新佳作。大部分影片上线时间为两周，部分影片将采取上线直播形式放映一场或两场。同时，电视上的展映部分GFA将会与WETV电视台合作。在电视台电影频道分时段播出。观众只需在展映期间锁定相关频道与播放平台即可同步“云”参与相关电影的展映活动。可以说，今年的美国好莱坞国际电影节金影奖的展映形式丰富多样，而展映内容也堪称历年之最。
电影节主席Michael Tse也表示：今年的电影节论坛将邀请好莱坞知名电影人及专家学者，从电影产业未来的发展与变革、电影内容的创作模式、电影作品的艺术性等方面，系统、全面、专业地对全世界电影产业未来发展新理念、新趋势、新问题开展主题研讨。论坛均以线上或线下相结合的形式举办，线上论坛将在爱尚直播平台以全程直播形式播放播出。Michael先生表示：“我们将邀请好莱坞一些知名国际电影人，与世界不同国家的电影人展开交流对话，探讨当下电影业的机遇与挑战，对未来电影产业的发展形成积极的带动作用。”
今年，新冠疫情给全球电影产业带来巨大的冲击。如何坚守电影业阵地，做好从业者的守护人，贴心人，如何为行业化危为机、为电影业的复苏与振兴注入力量与支持，将成为本届美国好莱坞国际电影节GFA关注的重点。另外，在本届金影奖展映板块中，GFA特别设计了“Cherish＆Discovery”这个主题单元，致力于向全世界坚守在电影行业的影人致敬，唤起大家对电影过去和未来的思考和讨论
